The curtains have closed on a spectacular weekend at the Junior Theater Festival (JTF), and the Chapelhouse Company has returned home triumphant, with hearts full of memories, lessons, and accolades that will last a lifetime! 🏆 💜

Amidst the electric atmosphere of JTF, Hannah, Kenzie, and Ivey had the greatest privilege of kicking off the festivities with their beautiful trio rendition of The National Anthem. Handpicked from a pool of hundreds of auditions, their voices resonated with passion and pride as they stood before an audience of 2,000 other passionate and excited musical theatre students. The crowd erupted in encouraging applause, their cheers echoing the collective admiration for the trio's harmonies. In that moment, they became an example of the talent and unity that define the essence of JTF. Their performance ignited a wave of enthusiasm, marking the beginning of a weekend filled with remarkable showcases, cherished camaraderie, and boundless inspiration.

Saturday morning, the girls were greeted with the excitement of adjudication day! Under the watch of esteemed adjudicators Cindy Ripley, Morgan Rose-Johnson, and Michael J. Bobbitt, Chapelhouse Company graced the stage with a performance that exuded passion, dedication, and talent. Their commitment to excellence shined brightly, earning them an Excellence in Acting Award, a testament to their unwavering devotion to their craft! Ivey, Lochlynn, Hannah, Kenzie, McKenzie, Emily, Kadence, Elena, Ellie, Chelsea, Lake, Serenity, and Lexi. The most special 13 ladies who worked so hard to achieve this amazing award!

Yet, their journey of triumph didn't end there! Four individual members of Chapelhouse Company received well-deserved recognition for their outstanding contributions. Foremost, Ivey Farley, whose portrayal of Junie B. Jones earned her the exciting title of Outstanding Performance by an Individual. Ivey's performance captivated hearts and minds, reflecting the divine spark within her. Our amazing Dance Captain and actress of Camille, McKenzie Karr, was honored with the Outstanding Student Choreographer award!

In addition to Junie and Camille, Chapelhouse Company proudly boasts Hannah Ward and Kenzie Johnson, who embodied and ROCKED their characters of Lucille and Chenille. These ladies exemplified exceptional talent and dedication, earning them individual All-Star awards!

Beyond the awards and accolades, the girls of Chapelhouse Company embraced every moment of the festival with enthusiasm and a thirst for knowledge. Immersed in workshops, panels, and concerts, they absorbed invaluable lessons from industry professionals, honing their skills and broadening their artistic horizons.


From 45-minute dance and acting workshops to attending a composer & songwriting panel and experiencing the excitement of numerous exciting concerts, Chapelhouse Company seized every opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with fellow theater enthusiasts from around the globe. The festival culminated in a mesmerizing concert featuring the talents of Andrew Barth Feldman, leaving the girls inspired and invigorated, ready to carry the spirit of JTF with them long after the final curtain call.


As they return home to Godley, Texas, Chapelhouse Company carries with them more than just awards and memories. They carry with them the invaluable lessons learned, the friendships forged, and the unwavering belief in the transformative power of theater to uplift, inspire, and unite.
